I thought they did a great job of parodying the movie, which was amusing in its own right, though I admit to not getting it the first time I saw it.
I guess it speaks to me because it reminds me of being a young lieutenant going through nav school. That's not to say I've done the Turkish Twist or the Greedy Buffet Patron on the flightline after flying low level through the streets of Enid, Oklahoma. But, I could identify with the silliness. For all the competitiveness and pressure, nav school really was fun. :)
